Five for Friday!-End of the School Year Edition

I got to say my four favorite words yesterday!  LAST DAY OF SCHOOL!
To celebrate, I'm linking up for Five For Friday!

1.  Monday we held our Kindergarten Graduation!
 Aren't they cute!
We sang four songs:
1.  Each of us is a flower...Charlotte Diamond
2.  What I Am...Will.i.am
3.  Kindergarten Graduation Song...Tune of Love & Marriage
4.  It's Time to Say Goodbye to my Friends...Dr. Jean

We then went back to my classroom for dessert and to watch the SmileBox DVD I made for families.  It was a lot of fun and a great way to end the year.

2.  Minute to Win It
Another kindergarten teacher and I got our classes together for Minute to Win It!  We got the idea from Tunstall's Teaching Tidbits.  It was a blast!

3.  LAST DAY OF SCHOOL DANCE PARTY!
It has been a tradition at our school to have an end of the year dance party.  The media specialist puts speakers outside and we all go outside for the Chicken Dance & Cha Cha Slide.
I love it!  Then all the teachers go and line up by the first bus and wave to the kids as the buses leave.

4.  Mystery Bus 2013
Every year a grade level plans a Mystery Bus outing for the last day of workshop.  This year was our year and we planned on going to The Shout House.
It also happened to be 80s night!
Here is our team ready to board the bus.
The weird thing is that we found all of our clothes at Walmart!  The 80s have returned people!  If I see shoulder pads or people ratting their hair, I'm opting out!
My lovely team got me on stage by pretending it was my birthday.  I'm NOT going to share pictures of that :)

5.  My daughter's last day of school was yesterday.

    1. Water hoses?! That is awesome! I'll have to bring that idea to my principal next year.

  9. My sons still haven't had their last day yet...but man, do we need summer here in Chicago. :)

You are so right about the 80s. It really feels like I'm reliving my childhood each time I shop lately.
